Those celebrities in the audience

Posted: Thursday, January 31, 2008 10:09 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC/NJ's Aswini Anburajan
A friend watching the debate at home -- we in the press file can't sometimes see what audiences are seeing on TV -- kindly made a list of all the celebrities in the audience.

You'll find the list below, and NBC/NJ has added who they have donated to....

Diane Keaton... Hasn't given to anyone
Rob Reiner... Edwards, Clinton, Richardson and Dodd... apparently not an Obama fan.
Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw.. Spielberg has maxed out in giving to all the Democratic candiates
Stevie Wonder...No record of him giving either though Obama plays "Signed Sealed Delivered" at every campaign stop.
Bradley Whitford... Looks like Josh from the West Wing is a bipartisan guy. He's maxed out to Biden, Obama and Ron Paul.
possibly Fran Drescher (a Hillary supporter has given her $2,300) and Topher Grace (no record of giving)
Pierce Brosnan... The Brit is staying neutral, hasn't given to anyone
America Ferrera... Ugly Betty campaigns for Clinton but hasn't given her any money.

ROB REINER IS 110% BEHIND "HILLARY CLINTON". HE HAS EVEN DONE SOME VIDIOS FOR THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN. IT'S ALL IN THE FAMILY MAN ! hillaryclinton.com
Jason Alexander was clearly in the audience too
AMERICA FERRERA IS ALSO 110% BEHIND HILLARY CLINTON. COME VISIT THE WEB SITE AND SEE WHY. hillaryclinton.com
THAT WAS REALLY A GOOD DEBATE... BUT, TO ME, hILLARY WON REAL GOOD.  I LOVE BOTH CANDIDATES BUT TONIGHT I WAS CONVINCED THAT THE ONE WHO IS READY TO BE PRESIDNET, WHO IS THOUGH  IS CLINTON.  WELL, I AM FOR HER.
Rob Reiner has done some videos for Clinton, no wonder they are so bad.
Hillary was fantastic!  I want a President with a grasp of the issues and real programs.  Obama is mostly sound bites.  I also don't like his taking credit for bills he has neither written nor sponsored and his love of coal and nuclear - all of which suggest same old same old politician.  He doesn't ring true.
Note: Wolfe Blitzer supported the war as did most of the press. Guess he was naive.
pierce brosnan...he's a brit.  that means he can't contribute, right?  So was it worth bringing up in an analysis?

Correct me if i'm wrong...
Confident, poised, self-assured, compassionate. Full grasp of world situation. Proud to support Hillary Clinton as President.
Actually Pierce Brosnan is Irish. He's not a Brit.
The fanatic hillary support is freaking me out over here.
Hillary was awesome! Specific, detailed, substantive. Obama is all about platitudes and feel-good statements.

Hillary 08!!!
Hillary was awesome! Specific, detailed, substantive. Obama is all about platitudes and feel-good statements.

Hillary 08!!!
I have a question for Erika: If the nation does not use coal( which the US has plenty of) and we don't use nuclear ( which the US has plenty of fuel material) what do you suggest we use, oil? Maybe so called " clean and renewables"( most of which use oil or coal in some capacity during their creation or delivery stages)
Obama has shown CONSISTENT good judgment, and I can't trust Hillary's judgment after the war vote.
I watched the debate and thought Hillary won. She looked Presidential and ready to lead and change our country. The media is already focusing on the negative again and her Iraq vote. We need to focus on the economy and health care reform. Barack agreed with her on most of the important issues but seemed passive and in my opinion would have difficulty debating the Republican candidates especially John McCain.  Hillary is a fighter.
Pierce Brosnan is IRISH, Not British!  He is also naturalized US citizen.

So he can vote for either Obama or Clinton.
America Ferrera hasn't given anything!?  Wow.  Wonder what the deal is there.  It seems to me if you are out stumping for Clinton, and so enthusiastic for her, you should at least open your checkbook...
thought the debate was good but somewhat repetitious.i beleive clinton has all the years of experience and knowledge to surround herself with excellant personnel to get this country back on track. obama's speeches are built on feelings of despair and disbelief. he is trying to capitalize on this country's desire to be saved from further ruin and deceit. our country needs experience, loyalty and courage. we don't need empty rah rah speeches.
Did anyone figure out what Hillary was saying when she was trying to explain why she voted for the war in Iraq?  I swear she just made up a bunch of words in her head, then rattled them off hoping nobody would notice.  I'm her age and feel this was indeed a "senior moment".  I'll take the soft-spoken youthful gentleman any time!!!
Rob Reiner is a MEATHEAD anyhow.

I wish Wold had asked a question over what the candidates would do about telecom companies doing the spying for the governemnt.
Hillary was fantastic!!!  The woman is great and she can debate like no other.  She is quick on her feet and able to respond on the issues quickly.

That was the best debate so far!!
The CLINTON trolls from Illinois???Yeah right,
stop dreaming.  if hillary won, then all is well in america right now.  yeah, right.  you people are living in a parallel universe if u think clinton has a shot in hell at the nomination!
Hillary voted for the war and then argued that it really wasn't her fault that she voted for it. Hardly a good commander-in-chief, IMO.
Isaiah Washington
Brandy
Leonardo Dicaprio

are others that were there.

Also Pierce Brosnan is actually Irish and he became a US Natural Citizen.

Oh and the debate was a draw.
Harper Hill of New York CSI as well. He's a Obama supporter
Damn, Ugly Betty is cheeeeeeeeeap.  I'm sure she's getting paid well.  I'm on a crazy tight budget and still I give atleast $10 from every paycheck to Barack's campaign.  That's why Obama is doing so well with the funds...regular people are actually investing in his vision of a better America.
You're right. Brosnan is Brit and can't donate.

Finally, the American people got a chance to see that Hillary lacks the judgment to get it right on day one, especially when it comes to a fundamental foreign policy decision like war.

Obama is ready to lead from day one.
Hillary clearly won the debate!

Go Hillary! Go Ugly Betty. I love you both!!!!
I believe I saw Fisher Stevens in the audience as well. If he decides to lend his support, that could just tip the balance, my friends.
I thought Obama clearly held his own, was relaxed and showed that he has excellent - even superior - judgment. Like he said - we need a president who is right on day 1.
SI SE PUEDE!!!!RE-CONQUISTA! Benvenido Mexiforinia Obama!!!! Within 4 years you will all be espeaking de spanich!
Ummm. Pierce Brosnan is not a Brit. He's Irish and a naturalized U.S. citizen

In response to G from Seattle, Pierce Brosnan became a US citizen September 23, 2004.

Pierce Brosnan is Irish-American, not a Brit.
He became a U.S. citizen in 2004.
I THINK OBAMA WON THE DEBATE.  I DIDN'T THINK HILLARY WAS BAD. SHE CAME ACROSS A LITTLE LESS BITCHY AND SHRILL THAN SHE NORMALLY DOES. BECAUSE I KNOW HOW RUTHLESS THE CLINTONS ARE,  I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF HER POSITIVE RESPONSES WERE FAKE AND PUT OUT BY STAFF MEMBERS.
