Bush to endorse McCain

Republican sources say the president will endorse McCain tomorrow at the White House.

President Bush is not expected to speak to McCain tonight.

Bush is said to consider McCain an attractive candidate on national security and taxes

A source close to Bush says McCain has to be careful with a Bush embrace.

"Better to do it now rather than later," this source says, "Get it out of the way."

Bush can pass the baton to McCain to help with party unity and declare McCain the future of the party. McCain needs all those things. McCain, the source says, can then say to Bush, I need you to do these things without having to associate too closely with him.

I'm surprised that McCain would accept an endorsement from someone that tortures POWs.

Whooohoo! McCain and Bush on the same stage???!! It's Christmas in March. Watching those two hacks gladhand one another grinning like jackals is the best thing that has happened for the Dems this entire election cycle. Amazing that this guy can zig-zag around the country in his flip-flop talk express bus, overstuffed with Lobbyists, pull right up to the White House and shake the hand of the only man who is capable of weiging him down even further. Whata Dunce. Oh and by the way..i know its not "PC" to say this, but since when does being a POW qaulify you for being President? It makes you a HERO (!) for your service, but I still don't get why it's in such poor taste to mention or question that is doesnt necessarily qualify a person to be president. McCain = Bush third term.
