Motion to seat all FL delegates fails

Posted: Saturday, May 31, 2008 6:41 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
By a 12-15 vote, a motion to seat all Florida delegates failed.

Afterwards, Clinton supporters in the audience began chanting, "Denver, Denver, Denver" -- meaning, we guess, that they want to take the challenge to the Democratic convention.

I am surprised that the chair doesn't have the chutzpah to request the removal of those who are not following her guidelines.

In addition, she shouldn't have allowed the gentlelady from Florida to engage in dialogue with the audience.
I've gained an awful lot of respect for Ms. Huffman.
I am the first to comment!. NO COMMENT!
Wow! I am the first to comment. NO COMMENT! SORRY!
Take it to the convention.  One of the rules the committee is deciding not to follow is no vote for one candidate can be transfered to another.  Uncommitted can not be transfered to Obama or anyone else.  Talk about making up the rules to suit the needs of the Obama camp.  This is a joke!  So much for unity.  Obviously they don't need the 17 million people in the Dem party that voted for Clinton.  Or they wouldn't be dissing us so bad.  Let's see how much they need us come November when the boards across every tv channel reads red, red, red, red, and only blue for Illinois.
The DNC will be lucky if any Floridian ever votes again for a Democrat.
whatever ... get over it already HRC supporters, you lost in February to something much bigger than you even can comprehend.
And the disenfranchisement of Florida is completed. It was all done nice and proper and everything. I don't see what the people in Florida have to complain about. Don't distess Floridains, you're still worth half a person, you should be happy with that.
The Clinton supporters are behaving reprehensibly.

Alice Huffman, who had put forth the motion to seat the Florida delegation at 100%, ended up taking the Hillary people to task for acting like a bunch of screaming rioters, over the passing of a 50% seating.
I can understand their disappointment, but we have to be grown-ups, and not be sore losers.

No matter what, we have to rid ourselves of the horrible government that has all but destroyed our country.
And with that vote, civil rights has just ended.

Put them on a bus NOW.
hillary i hope you are happy you killed the  dem part

Nahh, that's not it. It just means there are lots of fans of John Denver in the audience.
Was Ickes just reprimanded for his language?
Clinton supporters in this committee meeting have been sooooooooooooooo rude.

And Harold Ickes has been a foul mouth when trying to defend his queen.  How professional!
How very disrespectful of the proceedings, for the Clinton supporters to chant 'Denver'...

I'm surprised the chair hasn't cleared the 'peanut gallery'.

Harold Ickles is preaching like he's the only true democrat in the room....  PLEASE>>>>>>>>
I wish Ickes would not interject some strong language, but I am VERY pleased with the outcome of the Florida and Michigan votes!!
those clintonistas are sad sad people.... Just remember all you clintonites if you vote for Mcain you will be voting for the overturning of roe v wade, more endless war and a dying economy. Your arguments are flawed, sad and bording on insane.

It is up to Hillary to show us if she truly cares about this country and the democratic party,,,
