Pelosi praises McCain -- sort of

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is gladly accepting praise from McCain -- but to an extent.

She was asked at the end of her weekly on-camera session with reporters about McCain's reported praise for her. “I respect Speaker Pelosi. I think she's one of the great American success stories," McCain told the San Francisco Chronicle.

Pelosi says that she and McCain "have worked wonderfully together" in the past on such issues as campaign finance reform (she had to bring THAT up) and global warming.

"I look forward to continue working with him in the United States Senate," she concluded to laughter.

Speaking of global warming, Fox News one of there news anchors said the air quality was so bad in China the Government should shut down all the Chinese from driving before the Olympics.

The repubs have a presumptive nominee that has no discipline for calculation, and strategy. I would argue their tactics are misguided, and doomed to fail this November, but none the less, the journey toward their fate is already fraught with pain.

Republicans have a major party candidate that is the equivalent of mercury heat blasted from a thermometer. There will be no reigning him in. He's gone.

News Flash Exon Mobil just made $11.7 Billion dollars for the 1st quarter...and McCain wants to give them more...The highest office McCain derserves is the senate. He is not going anywhere in a while so he needs to grab a snicker bar.

McCain is so out of touch with reality...I have never met someone who unravelled his 25 years of service so fast. Now we know he was a fraud all along.

Please register more voters, turn out to vote for Obama and let us bury this shameful McCain. We can do it...it is not like 2004...we have a choice. Let's work hard to elect Obama.

This was being polite. I don't think that Pelosi agrees with McCain on much of anything. Come the next session of Congress, they will be Congressional collegues again. I think that she is correct and that McCain won't win the White House.
