From NBC's Mark Murray
The McCain campaign has released what appears to be its closing TV ad. It emphasizes his service to his country and his dedication to "a cause greater than my own."

The ad ends, "Don't hope for a stronger America. Vote for me."

Script:
JOHN MCCAIN: I've served my country since I was 17 years old.
And, spent five years longing for her shores.
I came home dedicated to a cause greater than my own.
We can grow our economy.
We will cut government waste.
Don't hope for a stronger America.
Vote for one.
Join me.
ANNCR: McCain.
John McCain: I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

There he goes again! It's all about the POW thing. What a fool! Or, does he think the rest of us are fools. Being a POW does not automatically qualify one to be POTUS. Secondly, what's this BS about serving the country since he was 17 years old. We know the truth. He was a brat who drank and partied his way through Annapolis and barely graduated. In fact, had his name been Smith instead of John Sidney McCain III he would have been tossed out of the Academy.

He is NOT entitled to the presidency and the sooner he realizes that the better off the rest of the world will be. He has been a user all of his life and it is time for him to step off the stage, since he cannot re-write history and his past is what it is!

Exit right!
This is the McCain ad that it all comes down to and once again it is all about him and his sacrifices for the country. He does not even mention Sarah Palin, whose last name is displayed briefly, under his, in the closing image. Obama’s infomercial was much more about the middle class American, Obama’s family experiences and all of us than it was about him. He does not have to try to be the American Dream; he is the American Dream. And he is also our best hope for a vibrant American future for all of us.
I AM REMINDED OF WHAT A NASTY CAMPAIGN HE THREW AT OBAMA. iF HIS ADS WOULD'VE BEEN LIKE THIS HE MIGHT HJAVE HAD A SHOT!
there are many other Americans who have served this country well, and look how there treated, shotty health care, amotionable problems, etc, Loss of jobs , and many of these you voted against, we seem to use these folks well at election time and dump on them when its over.....Many time you voted against issue addressing there needs and same with the GI bill..and didnt support them .....Your not my friend, you only care when there is a benefit to you.......as an independent cant support you but i did the last time you ran, sorry you lost your appeal, and the lousy campaine youve run......Hope you have a long life but not at my and many Americans expense, in the white house....
Don't hope for a stronger America...vote for me (isntead).  Are you kidding me? Did anybody proofread this?

I vote for hope.........
McCain's a war hero and Obama is a socialist. So obviously we all have to go out and vote for the war hero because doesn't that in itself prove he would be a great president?

Obama/Biden 08!
Enough with the PO schtik.  Contrary to your popular belief, you are not entitled to the presidency.  What about all of the other POW's over the years?  Will you have to compete with them?  The only difference between you and them is that you came back, dropped your wife for a beer baroness and were handed the life of the entitled.  You earned your medals and the respect of your country.  You did NOT earn the "right" to lead us.  You sold your soul to the "religious" right.  Look where it's gotten you.
You had to know it would come down to this for McCain -- "vote for me because I was a POW."

While I appreciate your service, and can't imagine what you endured during those 5 long years you were a POW, that alone is not enough to get my vote.
