From NBC's Mark Murray
The State reports, "First Lady Jenny Sanford

announced Friday she is moving with her four sons to Charleston and will no longer live in the Governor’s Mansion."

From a statement she released: "It is with this support, and after much careful and prayerful consideration, that I have decided to move back to our home in Charleston with our sons for the upcoming school year. From there, we will work to continue the process of healing our family.  While we will be leaving Columbia, we will return often, and I will remain engaged in activities in my role as First Lady, acknowledging that my responsibilities to my family come first."

And here's Gov. Mark Sanford's statement: "I stand by this family decision and accordingly ask the media to honor the zone of privacy that Jenny has asked for on behalf of the healing process and our four boys going forward."

I'll be really happy when Gov. Sanford is a private citizen again.

Here is an example of "astroturfing" at a townhall meeting:

Any of you folks want to 'splain that away?

======================================
Don't get too excited Palin/Sanford/Republican haters. She does this every August, she's moving back to their hometown so the kids can start school.
Looks like someone might be getting a one-way ticket to Argentina soon...

Good for her!!
First Tea Parties, Next Cross Burnings. You can't appease facists. The Republiklan tactics just get more extreme. Beating pregnant women, murdering doctors, blowing up clinics and government buildings, attacking the Holocaust Museum. The GOP is getting more violent and extreme every day. It's time for America to reject the GOP's facist tactics.
American Patriot

Isn't it interesting that rather then Obama, Reid, and Pelosi defending their plans for health care, instead they are attempting to demonize anyone that disagrees with them. I guess if you don't have a plan to defend, that's what you do. And if you're looking for cross burnings, you'll need to take that up with Robert Byrd. Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV).
So. What.
Leave the family alone.
Was it only a week ago this past Sunday that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the North Koreans “unruly children” on Meet the Press and said all they wanted was attention and that “we shouldn’t give it to them?”

Yes, that was her, the wife of the very same Bill Clinton who gave Kim Jung Il ten years’ worth of free good publicity by traveling to North Korea and shining the global spotlight on the “Dear Leader’s” generosity in releasing two journalists he had illegally seized in the first place. North Korea’s last good press was before 1949, but now they shine in the glow of worldwide approval thanks to Bill (and Hillary) Clinton.

Response to Monkeberry Moon from previous post:

Um . . . Monkberry Moon . . . you are in need of some SERIOUS deprogramming.

Please do not bring harm to yourself or others.

Why is it that all the wiretaps, violations of U.S. law, and outright lies under the Bush Administration never bothered you, but now, when the private sector has raped and pillaged this country into financial ruin, you view efforts by YOUR government to help YOU as a government take over?

And what in the world does race have to do with any of it?

You say black people make up 14% of the population, so that means that if each and every black person was an untalented hack and was given a job, that would still leave A WHOLE LOT OF WORK for you, no?

I mean, the world has been your oyster for CENTURIES, and now, after YOUR CANDIDATES and YOUR POLICIES have turned out to be ABYSMAL FAILURES, you want to blame somebody else?

So all that "personal accountability" was just a whole lot of blah blah blah, eh?

Whatever.

You want a revolution, then stand on your IDEAS and not just your DELUSIONAL FANTASIES.

Your rights END where mine BEGIN. So you and all the other folks who think that this is YOUR country are about to get a RUDE AWAKENING.
I think it is disgusting for Obama to ask people to resort to violence at the town halls.  This guy is not presidential at all.
Now that I've gotten the "good for her" out of the way; President Obama needs to give the GOP the middle finger and move on!! I'm sick of his pandering for bipartisanship; he will NEVER get it from these loons!! And in the mean time, WE suffer, and HCR will never advance!!

President Bill Clinton tried and look what they did to him!!

Move on President Obama, NOW; you've already lost a lot of support from those who voted for you!! Approval rating down more than ten percent; STOP!!

Just move on, NOW, before you blow it, and I mean the reTHUGS in 2010, and YOUR re-election in 2012!!
And here's Gov. Mark Sanford's statement: "I stand by this family decision and accordingly ask the media to honor the zone of privacy that Jenny has asked for on behalf of the healing process and our four boys going forward."

"...now, when's the next flight to Buenos Aires?"
If this family values first, repuke governor had any self respect, he would resign and move back to their home with his family.

Typical "holier than thou", do as I say, not as I do, excuse for a rethugliklan politician.
Laura, I have spent a substantial portion of my career reading, studying, applying, and occasionally teaching constituional law. The right of the people to petition for redress of grievances is preserved, just as is the right to express one's ideas freely, but there is no right to shout down another person who is trying to exercise HIS right, nor is there a right to use or threaten violence in support of one's views.
Robert, Beckley, WV

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You apparently live in another country. The right to protest, the right to speak ones mind, and the right to offend is well preserved in our history. You just don't like it now because, horror of horrors, the right is using the same tactics the left has been using for decades. So go back to your little school book and chant your little quotes all you want. Just because someone's cotton-blend knit golf shirt gets a little wrinkled doesn't mean they can't say what they want to say. And you spelled 'constituional' wrong genius. You'd think that if your such a whiz at it, you might be able to spell it.
As well she should. Hillary should have done the same but weighed the value in staying with Billy "BJ" Clinton and decided against it.

Okay plain and simple here's where Obama has the problem with getting health care through. It's not the Republicans, (Not enough of them to stop it) It's not the insurance companies (Can't pay people enough to matter)

Blame has to be placed directly on Barack Hussien Obama. He is ineffective in delivering his message, inconsistent on delivering anything where he says he will and inefficient in his running of the government to this point.

American's do not believe or trust the man just elected to do what he says he will or stay on point with his focus. Obama has already lied, gone back on his word and shown little to no leadership. Too bad he tries to please everybody. A leader does not operate off of polls and wish lists. The lead by their conviction and live with the results.

Think he would be elected again knowing what we know now?
They can spin it all they want.  This is called a separation and the marriage is going down the drain. Mark, resign and go live with your soul-mate.

From Previous thread:  Manny Toledo Ohio: Time for you to look at the raw footage from Tampa. It was a mob riot.  Limbaugh should be on soon so go soak up some raw hatred.

Fristy: You are right-on.  This town hall mob action will lead to someone getting hurt.  FBI, time to pay attention. Have a quiet weekend.
And PS MSNBC:  Since you devoted nearly zero to President Clinton's successful trip to North Korea, I'll take this opportunity to state thank you, President Clinton, as my friend posted to me, "you still got it, diplomacy, grace and good looks"; you're still "The Man"!! Thank you!!
News Item: According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the police showed up toward the end of the forum held by Democratic Rep. Russ Carnahan. One conservative activist, interviewed at a local emergency room where he was being treated for injuries, said he was attacked by some of the individuals who were arrested as he passed out "Don't tread on me" flags.

Looks like the AFL-CIO is sending their union thugs in to break up the orderly conversatives from getting their message out.
FINALLY...

A woman of 'family values' comes to her senses!

Hey I've got an idea... maybe she & the kids can move to 'C' Street... she could have a ball...

I lost all respect for her when she took the scumbag back!
An honorable man would resign. But then again, there hasn't been an honorable republican for a long, long time.
From earlier...

Pick up a civics book, a real basic one, and have someone read it to you. Maybe it will sink in that people have the freedom to tell their elected leaders exactly what they think." --posted by Laura Ross, Wisconsin

Okay, I’m flattered by Ron’s kind words (damn those redheads, they get the good guys!):

Ron, I am not an expert in dabbling in other state local politics; but the balance of the Senate has become a fascination of mine.

Ohio:

Lee Fisher (D) is polling above Rob Portman (R) [potential Dem threat, Jennifer Brunner]  I just don’t know enough yet to get invested.  I have a good friend in Yellow Springs (that’s right, I AM a liberal!) and she will feed me more of the local tone.

Missouri:
Robin Carnahan (D) is polling well over Roy Blunt (R), the only poll I find does not have a national reputation; but my ‘on the ground’ estimates are that short of a Dem wipeout in 2010, Robin will win this pretty easily.  Roy Blunt is marginalized statewide by his ‘regional’ appeal, his son left a horrible taste in Missouri mouths and Robin Carnahan is WELL respected by Dems and Independents.  For those who don’t know much about our history, her father died 3 weeks before the election in 2000 and still beat John Ashcroft.  His widow served his first two years when the next election occurred, Jim Talent pulled a squeaker; and then lost a squeaker to Claire McCaskill in 2008.  Missouri is truly about as middle of the road a state can get.  President Obama lost Missouri by less than 5,000 votes; but we elected a Dem governor in the same election.  I personally believe it came down to ‘race’ issues in Roy Blunt’s district (and elsewhere; but I perceive a regional ‘bias’ there.).  (unrelated; but germaine - http://www.newsweek.com/id/195085)

Kansas:
No way they find a single Dem that can win this seat from Brownback or his chosen replacement.  The only person that had a serious shot is now our Secretary of HHS.  The name Carol Marinovich might not mean anything nationally; but in East Kansas she is a very popular Dem credited with bringing the NASCAR speedway to Kansas City as well as negotiating the entire Legends Development; which has been a very successful venture.  She is smart, impassioned and capable; but apparently completely disinterested in going National.  The only Dem Congressman in the state, Dennis Moore, could never win the state.  He has a tough time every two years holding the local seat.  So, while a Repub hasn’t really declared, I will be shocked if the Repubs don’t hold this one.

Connecticut:
Dodd is struggling with a series of bad PR moments in a state that is willing to replace him.  He is trailing pretty badly and he just can’t seem to get on the top side of the news cycle.  I agree that Dems might retain that seat if he stepped aside.  I am not counting him out.  It is early and a lot of lesser known candidates (his opponent) can certainly flameout between now and then.  My pragmatic side reads the writing on the wall and says he probably loses this one.  If Lieberman isn’t voted out in 2012, I will personally marginalize Connecticut voters.  (of course it’s their choice; but really?)

Florida:
Charlie Crist sure seems like a lock at this point; but never underestimate the power of a Republican leader to be outed by either their own stupidity or a hot gay lover.  Okay, in all fairness, Dems have had their own issues in this regard (looking at you, New Jersey).  This is a ‘retention’ seat, so I’m not terribly invested in it; but again, anything can happen.

Texas:
Kay Bailey Hutchinson’s desire to watch Mexico from her porch has left a vacancy that has Dems salivating; but again, I am a pragmatic and I don’t anticipate a takeover.  (are there serious candidates yet?)

Arizona:
I have to say, McCain may have just ‘overplayed’ his hand this week.  I think he fails to follow the Demographic shift of Californians who’ve moved to Arizona, coupled with his refusal to support Sotomayor was almost as boneheaded as picking Sarah Palin to be his running mate.  I said Almost.  It’s a crap shoot; but I think it is much closer than he thinks.  Oops, there I go, implying the old codger still thinks.  My bad.  Now if he would just pal around with some closet gays,…I kid.

Arkansas:
At this point I haven’t heard of a viable opponent to Blanche Lincoln, however if she doesn’t have an about face soon on Public Option, I will personally dedicate resources to upending her re-election bid.

California:
I saw one poll with Boxer only +4 over Fiorina?  I don’t buy that for a minute.

Of course there are plenty of races out there, Kentucky ‘could’ be interesting (didn’t Mitch barely hang on?).  And who knows what the heck is going to happen in Pennsylvania?  I personally would like Sestak to take all.  Mostly I am in the camp that if you’ve been in the Senate over three decades; you’ve probably overstayed your welcome.  Sorry, most know I adore Teddy Kennedy; but it is time.  Some of this stuff is crap.

Did anyone see where This Week (ABC) beat Meet the Press (NBC) last Sunday?  Article on HuffPo last night.  How much bleeding is acceptable before you stem the flow?

This is not a personal vendetta.  I loved David Gregory as Whitehouse Correspondent.  I think he has added value at NBC.  I do not think he has risen to the format challenge of MTP.  I really think Lawrence O has the knowledge and gravitas to do the heavy lifting and the hard hitting follow up questions.  Someone needs to challenge the guests, regardless of party.

Tim Stocken:

Thanks for the interest in my opinion.  I don’t know that I am an expert on Healthcare, per se.  But I am paying a little more attention than average.  If I thought there were actually hope of a bipartisan bill that would actually receive some Republican votes that would include Republican concessions for the greater good, then I absolutely would strike any abortion language from this bill.  But, being the pragmatist that I am, we both know that is never going to happen.  Republicans think concession is a one way street that starts in Democratville and ends in Repbulicantowne.  Since the purpose of reforming healthcare is to attempt to cover as many Americans as possible and provide them with services that they aren’t able to afford or otherwise are receiving while we are paying the bills; coupled with the fact that these @ss holes are making hay out of hearsay; I say put it in, use bold letters, pass it with rescission and let the selfish b@st@rds SUCK IT.  But, hey, I tend to be a little aggressive when I see the losing party holding my vote hostage as though they actually ‘earned’ the right.

No need to wonder, he's just another Repub ashamed of what his party has become.  There is a real seamy underbelly to these snakes and their 'true colors' have revealed themselves.  The real Republicans are ashamed at what is so obvious to the rest of us.  You are allowed into the Republican party; but only if you assimilate and know your place.  It is not an open NOR welcoming place to be.  I should know, I was driven out in 1992.  It took real Change for the rest of the faithful to grasp what so many have seen for decades.

I don't blame her. She was publicly humiliated by Gov. Sanford and my heart goes out to her and her children. I can't believe that some people are calling his affair a "love story", what has this Nation come to. "Governor Sanford" is supposed to be a "role model" for society. Some people kill me wanting to call athletics out for what they do, yet when elected officials that are suppose to "represent" disrespect their official duties of the offices they hold that represent the people.

They have actually disrespected the people as well.
There should be no double standards, adultry is wrong in any form.

The taking back of the country happens one step at a time, and sometime we have to step on small little gnats like Anita to get there.
Paul Miller, WV

The “taking Back of what Country”? Hell this isn’t your country Paul Miller, before your arrived the man that planted the seed that germinated the egg that my mother produced were from this soil. Get your facts straight before you call America “your country”. Try reading some history books.

What say you? You want to take “back” or shall I say stage an “uprising” against the Majority of people that exercised their constitutional rights? The majority that participated in the Democratic process. Just because it wasn’t what you wanted?

Well for sure, this little "gnat"…is gonna see who will take “back” what, you're going to come up short.

You people have ZERO ownership in this Nation…isn’t that what your Party is contending…the Party of NO.

So now you people are attempting to divide the nation along racial lines to thwart the President’s election by attempting to bring about failure… aren’t you all the ones that call him the “Chosen One”? Hasn’t everything you’ve done thus far failed? We’ll see who wins.

Paul: I expect that will be you cowering in the corner when the 80 year old man points his finger at you. Face it, you liberals don't have a clue or a prayer.

As for the 80 year old—the republicans are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I don’t give a damn if an eighty year old person points a finger at me, hell; I’ll just point mine back. If he or she doesn’t like what I’m saying or have to say, they should have kept their Medicare receiving antique asses at home.

They already receive my benefits from the “socialized” federally funded program the last time I looked in my mirror…I was a full grown female with a grown ass child. Remember that Paul.

P.S. Mo Attorney, Bad Chihuahua, Auggie Doggy & Doggy Daddy and all of the other dumb assed names you call yourself...be original for a change and stop using others names.

Friend:

At least they won't be cowards...like you are. What's the matter boo boo the clown...afraid to post your name? That's soooo republican of ya. Anyway, I'd recognize that snarky tight assed pompous remark anywhere.
And how does this "healing" happen when she's in Charleston and he's in Columbia?

I guess we're supposed to "pray" for the family now that they get through these troubled times.  Good ol' Christ-like Republicans.  So forgiving...as long as you're one of them.

FR: New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney has reversed course and decided against a challenge to New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2010, the New York Times reports.

I loved Gillibrand's brother in Brokeback Mountain.

I would too; if he were my husband. Actually I would have been long gone.
Good for her. She seems like a class act, honestly. I hope she is able to work things out with her husband if that's what she wants, but don't quite get why Mark Sanford is trying to work things out.

The argentenian lady is his soul mate. From his letters you could tell he really loved her. So why doesn't he just go be with her? Give his wife half his money and go to Argentina or bring her up to America and live in happiness and privacy. It is not like his political career is going anywhere.
All this GOP hypocricy is making me sick!
Interesting that the Dems keep saying the health care protestors are just small vocal minorities.  Look at the latest Quinnipiac poll.  It is the latest to sample health care sentiment.  By a margin of 52-39, the public DISAPPROVES of Obama's handling of Health Care.  So, it seems that the minority here are the Dems supporting ObamaCare.

Also, I'm sure there were never Dem protestors (Code Pink, etc) who disrupted meetings before.  Call out both sides when it comes to disrupting meetings.  Disagree respectfully.
"Go ahead say it, I’m CRAZY, you damned right I am, crazy for justice…

Anita, Birmingham, Alabama (Sent Friday, August 07, 2009 12:33 PM"

I never called you crazy, but I'll certainly call you as much of a racist as any KKK member.  Why?  Let's look at what you just said:

"it was YOU PEOPLE as usual"

You don't even know my racial identity, yet you categorize me with white people based on your opposition to my views (which you can't even figure out, as we'll discuss below).

"So don't hand me you STALE and PALE opinion."

Again with the racial characterizations that have no basis whatever.  Another point as well: I'm not a Republican.

"But that's how you rotten asses operate. With the PLANTAION MENTALITY."

So now I'm both white AND from the south.  Again with the racial characterizations based on nothing but my opinion.

Now that we've established that you're a blatant racist, let's move on, shall we?

"You are angry now, you didn't want Justice Sotomayor, because you feel superior to everyone, you want to pick your own "POSION", President Obama chose the Antidote."

Actually, I'm fine with Sotomayor.  I think she's very qualified for the job.  I was just commenting on the hypocrisy of the Left, given their filibustering of the Estrada nomination because they knew Bush would appoint him to the SCOTUS at the first opportunity.  But please, fell free to change my thoughts if that makes you feel more secured in your extremely myopic worldview.

"You don't want Health Care Reform, because it takes money out of your pockets."

Actually I oppose healthcare reform because, in its current form, it takes from the many (the taxpayers) and gives to the few (plaintiffs' attorneys).  This is something I witness on an almost daily basis and I have no desire to see attorneys feeding at the public trough.  If Obama was willing to pass tort reform as part of his plan to give every American healthcare, I'd be a strong supporter of the plan (assuming, of course, that it didn't add to the deficit).

See, we could actually work together on certain issues...if only you didn't have such a bigoted and racist viewpoint.

So, Lover Boy Sanford, will you be spending more time on C Street or in South America since you will be all alone?

--   Practice Random Acts of Kindness   --
Sadly, they will most likely divorce and he'll move to Argentina with his publicly admitted "soul mate”. The only reason he' still Governor in North Carolina is to continue to collect a pay check off of the people that he did a half ass job representing.
(Unrelated)
Am I the only one here who finds it strange that the righties here are hiding behind the First Amendment in order to defend the hooligan, violent actions of their "astroturf" mob protests?  I find this odd especially since they stood by for 8 years and allowed the total rape of the First Amendment when it came to opposition to the Iraq war.

And speaking thusly, yes we lefties DID protest the war.  Some of us even took to the streets in protest.  But we DID NOT enter into town halls and shout people down, or made death threats against politicians.  Even when we were called "terrorists", "traitors", "un-American", "unpatriotic", even when we were arrested for merely discussing our views openly, even when we were wiretapped, put on no-fly lists, censured, etc.

Now you seem to be afraid of the same thing happening to you, when you are the ones shouting down and actually ADVOCATING harm to others who do not share your views.  It's as I said once before, its as if your fear is a tacit admission of your guilt over the past 8 years.  You're afraid of something being done to you that you have done to others.

You want us to respect your First Amendment rights?  Fine.  RESPECT OURS!

Barack Obama. Just like s--t through a goose, this too shall pass.
Well, hard to blame her for getting away from the spotlight.  He, in my opinion, behaved like a jerk.  It was bad enough to disappear with his mistress but then to come back and make such public disclosure of his private thoughts about soul mates, etc. that was too much.  I would have left the day he gave TMI about his feelings for the other woman.  Good luck to them both.

From earlier.  Linda Evers, TX.  Your concerns are valid but a little research could alleviate those concerns.  No one is talking about "free" health care; the plan will continue premiums either paid by employers or people just as is done now; new people would pay premiums just like the rest of us.  It would expand medicaid to assist people who don't have insurance and make too much money to presently qualify but too little to afford their own insurance.  We already have rationed health care whether in the form of insurance company denials, private insurance cancelling on ill people and insurance companies refusing to insure people with pre-existing conditions.  What we have today is discrimanatory health care, those who have insurance get care, those who don't wait until it is too late and show up in the emergency room--and guess what, you're already paying for the uninsured with higher preimiums and higher fees by medical providers.  As for illegal aliens, today no hospital can deny emergency treatment to any person based on lack of insurance or inability to pay--its a moral obligation.  Those of us who have health care already pay for those who don't.  As for abortions, that is another assumption--the federal government prohibits using tax dollars to fund abortions.  That won't change despite all the hype--the discussion is that democrats want to keep the wording which exists in the current law about exceptions for the life of the mother, rape, incest; whereas the republicans want there to be no abortions even if the life of the mother is in jeopardy which in my view is like sentencing the mother to die to save an unborn child--which life is more valuable?  That's for that mother to decide, not me or you.
Funny, Sanford campaigned on his 'Christian Family Values'
He included his family's pictures in his campaign materials

Sanford could pull a 'Rudy Giuiliani' and have his Argentine 'soul mate' live with him in his mansion

Sanford follows the 'great tradition' of Republican 'Family Values'

Newt Gingrich who wanted to 'Rebuild American Civilization' was a DEAD BEAT DAD who ABANDONED HIS CHILDREN

(Newt had good reason to abandon his children, he wanted access to multiple sex partners)

There's Sen Larry Craig who solicited SEX in the Minneapolis Airport Men's room

There's David Vitter who had a long running 'Affair' with a 'ho who put DIAPERS ON HIS A$$ (HA HA) while he preached 'Christian Family Values'

There's Sen John Ensign who used campaign funds to pay his 'Soul/Crotch mate'

There's Rep Mark Foley who had a thing for male Congressional interns

Rep Bob Livingston (R-LA),

..Oh, Don;t forget that guy in South Carolina who was goosin' the Horses

It’s only a matter of time before once again the feminists and others start in on the old "left her for his secretary" fallacy....Why doesn't she leave the kids with their Father? Because everybody knows, and especially Mrs. Sanford, Mom gets the kids over 90% of the time in U.S. divorce cases which equates to never having to work again in this example. BTW, according to Shere Hite's research, wives initiate divorce over 90% of the time in this country, and the Family Law and Child Support Collection Industries love it!
I hope Mrs. Sanford and her boys get the privacy they deserve.  Mark Sanford should be ashamed of how disrespected them in front of the entire country.....and that goes for all politicians that do this type of stuff.
Jenny Sanford appears to be a classy lady.  On the one hand she's requiring change in her husband's life realizing that a lying, cheating lifestyle will damage her sons as well as her own heart which has already been crushed.  But on the other hand she's a real example of Christ, allowing space for forgiveness and restoration, assuming Mark Sanford is sincere and models his repentance and change of heart over time through his life.

How many marriages have been "disavowed" and ended for way less serious reasons?  I don't know if their marriage will make it, but I am inspired by her example--she's a strong gal who knows where her strength comes from--the Lord.  And yet she shows us the perserverance and forgiveness that are also part of strong character.  May God bless her and her sons.  And may God grant Mark Sanford the revelation of what a treasure he has in Jenny.
Divorce definitely in the pipeline here.  Moving out It's rediculous for them to issue a statement saying that they are still working on their marriage.  By the wife moving out of the house and 150 miles away?  Seems more like a necessary maneuver for date of separation to legally begin.  Usually you have to wait a year after the move-out date to be granted a divorce.
She should stop this coy nonsense, and just say, "I'm leaving the no good cheat'n bum! That Argintinian whore can have him!"
I'm thinking Jenny couldn't get past the 'soul mate' comment, that and the fact that her husband is a sleazeball.
A good week for President Obama:

Sonia Sotomayor has been confirmed as a Supreme Court justice

The 'Cash for clunkers' has been replenished

Unemployment number are looking great
(remember when Obama was inaugurated ?
The Economy was in 'Free Fall'
The Banks and Auto companies were on the brink after 8 years of economic MISMANAGEMENT)

They've moved the Tea Parties (AKA Aruan Woodstock) into the town hall meetings of Democratic Legislators
Otherwise, bobody wiould pay atttention to those LOSERS

The Darkness has Lifted
Bush / Cheney are GONE
Their policies of Torture and Aggression are finished
Their minions are scattered and throwing tantrums

CHANGE I CAN BELEIVE IN !!
I don't blame her.  How much humiliation can you put up with?   Her feelings must be crushed and trying to put a marriage back together after such a public display is really embarrasing.  She will be better off.
I would not have stayed
Moving out to "heal" the family is not logical, and therefore it's not credible.  What Mrs. Sanford really ought to do is to start a little community for dis-enfranchised political wives ... hard to name them all ... so many, and so little time.

Anyway, the wives could move to "B" (brokenhearted) Street, while their husbands and former could all gather on "C" (cheat) Street with John Ensign and the other republican "family" values hypocrites.

And yes, for my money, John Edwards and Elliot Spitzer could join the other narcissistic and self-destructive kindred spirits on "C" Street.
What a loser. She has been told he has a soul mate who isn't her, he has been boinking some South American chick and has the balls to ask his wife to see the mistress again!!!! And Little Jenny is gonna stand by "her man"?
Wise decision. she is a very brave lady to put up with Sanford. He still should resign as he is the optimal hypocrite.
Jenny Stanford continues to stand as a role model for  all women who find themselves, through no fault of their own, in positions of public review of their private lives.  Mrs. Stanford has remained gracious, respectful to the people, and a lady -- while at the same time projecting firmness of purpose, strength and personal values.  Whatever the intimate details of the state of her marriage are, she has shown tremendous grace and courtesy to the world itself.  I am a firm and committed Democrat and would probably disagree mightily with Mrs. Stanford on many, most political issues.  But I continue to admire and respect her for what she has shown us about being a strong woman and retaining personal control and integrity.  Thank you, Mrs. Stanford
