Obama agenda: economy

Citing the "national mood" of anxiety about unemployment, Atlantic Media Group political director Ron Brownstein said on “Meet The Press” that a job stimulus package is on the White House's horizon. "There is discussion about a job creating--a, a tax credit for people who create jobs. The problem is it's expensive to do that in a meaningful way. And the next area of the debate will be if we go down the road of trying to create a jobs incentive tax credit, do you take the money away from already allocated dollars for the stimulus or do you simply make the deficit larger?" Brownstein added that while a decision is not imminent, "they're beginning to discuss this."

What ever happened to that last job stimulus package the Democrats passed?
Brownstein: Andthe next area of the debate will be if we go down the road of trying to create a jobs incentive tax credit, do you take the money away from already allocated dollars for the stimulus or do you simply make the deficit larger?"

I don't see any problem makeing the deficit larger, other then that the dollar will be used for the toy giveaway in Happy Meals.
Oh, so THIS is the job creating Stimulus.  I thought the last stimulus was for jobs.   Maybe I missed that one...
Just more mess that Obama has had to clean up after The Shrub cut and ran.Seems like it will take decades to fix what it took Bush 8 years to F-up.And would someone at FR walk over and Let Mika know that jobs are the last place that recovers after a  depression,it's called lagging because it takes time for these jobs to return. Finally got the skinny on The mess Moran Joe was in while in the Congress, and the reasons he bailed before his time in office was over.Goggle the name Lori Klaueutis the girl that was found murdered in his office, lots of questions that to date haven't been answered.
Where's all the jobs the Nobel farce Obama promised from last summer?
During his term, when anyone dared speak out agaisnt Bush, the Republicans were quick to scream "Anti-American!"  Just curious, what are the Republicans now ..."Anti-American" or "Hypocrites?"
Just curious, what are the Republicans now
E. Walters

The answer to your question would be REAL AMERICANS that would be seeing how we are sinking thanks to the democrats.
@Truth Be Told

Leave it to a republican to fail a test even when it is multiple choice, but of course, what can one expect from someone that gets his news from rush limbaugh?
'And the next area of the debate will be if we go down the road of trying to create a jobs incentive tax credit, do you take the money away from already allocated dollars for the stimulus or do you simply make the deficit larger?"'  - Huh? Is this for real? It's called supply-side tax cuts.

Lemme educate those here who ask occasionaly "how do tax cuts create job"?

First of all, if you want more of something, what do you do? Raise the price of it? Or decrease the price? If the price of bread goes up, there is a "disincentive" to purchase bread. If the price of bread goes down these is an "incentive" to purchase bread.

The same goes for work. If the "costs" of work go down, that is you lower taxes on activities geared around work, and building "stuff" then you get more of it. That is what we experienced from 1981 until today. The idea of "supply side tax cuts" still hold muster. Now, on the other hand if you raise the "costs" of doing work with higher taxes and more regulations, then you get less of it.

This argument still boils down to two fundamental ideals, do we believe in the Keynesian model, which is "demand" driven, and is backed by folks such as Paul Krugman. Or do we believe in the ideals of Hayek/Milton Freidman/Von Mises which believe in the ideals of Liberty and classical liberalism with it's belief in laizze-faire?
Truth Be Told... President Obama has saved your country with the bail out, it was the only way to save us from the "Republican-Made Recession."
If President Obama would not have done the bail-out,it would have caused a chain reaction of failures that at a minimum would have caused a massive world-wide depression that would have taken many years if not several decades to recover from.
In the worst case scenario, it would have caused the collapse of the U.S. government. Given those alternatives the choice was clear, President Obama had to bail-out Wall Street.
There was no bail-out done in 1929, and the U.S. spent the next 13 years trying to recover. This was called the Great Depression.
The most egregious practices that caused the financial meltdown in the first place happened under Bush's administration.
Do a search on any independent news sight and you will find these facts clearly described.
I don't know why they don't put money into opening manufacturing plants (like in Michigan where unemployment rates are so high) to manufacture parts for windmills, solar panels, etc. for green energy?
All the money for jobs is in the current stimulus bill that was already passed.  Obama said so.  Make him deliver.
The "national mood"? That is like useless Carter and his "malaise" nonsense. Typical Democrat with their feigned sympathy and completely out of touch with the suffering working people they so feign to love.
