“More than 100 Democratic House members have yet to contribute a penny of their obligations for the 2010 election cycle to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee,” the National Journal writes. This suggests many incumbents are facing competitive races next year, in which case they are exempt from paying. But some who don’t face serious challenges, including some safe liberals in blue Northeastern states, also haven’t paid, leading some to suggest dissatisfaction within the party. Among those who haven’t paid but are exempted are fiscally conservative Blue Dog Democrats, almost all of whom face tough re-election campaigns. “But privately, the frustration against better-positioned members, including members of the Progressive Caucus and the Congressional Black Caucus, is palpable.”

New York: Representative Charlie Rangel, the embattled Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, will face a former campaign director in the 2010 primaries. It's always amazing how the ballot box can take care of problems the House leadership (no matter the party) fails to confront. Take this primary challenge very seriously.

2010 will make 1994 look like child's play. Republicans may pick over 80 seats in the House and 8-10 in the Senate. At least the Democrats have Obama's Nobel Peace Prize to talk about, that will be the major success for them to talk about in next years elections.
Why is it "always amazing" that a ballot box can fix problems that Congressional leadership can't?  That's exactly what a ballot box is supposed to do.  It's not up to Congressional leaders to decide who should represent each district ... it's up to US.

But just like everything else these days, we look for someone else to solve our problems for us.  Cause and effect is not something people like to think about.  I know I don't want to pay any taxes, but why are the bridges broken and our schools in crisis?  I know I don't read newspapers or keep up with politics, but how did a crook like that get elected?  How did we get into such a big financial crisis?  And how in the heck did we ever get involved in two wars?
Time to impeach the socialist President.  His lap dog, Pelosi, is one of the most pitiful members of Congress!  Rangel should be impeached immediately!  He has no defense!  He is an arrogant idiot!
