At a press conference today on Capitol Hill touting Democrats' plan to add a provision to the healthcare reform bill HR 3200 allowing younger Americans to stay on their parents plan until the age of twenty-seven, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she expects that the House will vote on a healthcare bill by Thanksgiving:

"We are right on track, and I am hopeful that we will have a bill by Thanksgiving. Others say Christmas. Certainly this year."

On the public option, Pelosi said, "We will have a public option in the House bill as I have said." She continued, "We are considering several variations, we want to have the one that does the best job."

Pelsoi's previous prediction was a vote by August 1st.
Perfect!! Voting on a Turkey Bill on Turkey Day!

Rumor has it Nancy will be on a float at the Macy's Parade. Barney Frank will dress up as Santa on another float and be throwing free health care policies out.

ROTFLMAO!

27! 27! I know the Dems want Cradle to Grave government coverage and all that, but 27 is a little old don't you think to be hanging on to momzy and dada? 27 isn't exactly still in the Cradle!! Will that include coverage for the grand-kids too?

Too funny! But anything to pass this loser bill I guess.
Many of the parents will be on Medicare by the time the kids turn 27. Will Medicare be covering the 27 old leeches, ehh, I mean little darlings?
From MyDD:

'...Healthcare Slated to Hit Senate Floor October 26
by Jonathan Singer, Tue Oct 13, 2009 at 03:43:04 PM EST

With health care reform legislation advancing out of the Senate Finance Committee on a bipartisan 14 to 9 vote this afternoon, Senate Democrats are aiming to bring a combined bill to the floor by October 26, according to a leadership aide.

The bill passed out of Finance today must still be combined with legislation previously passed through the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee before it can reach the floor, and there remain significant differences between the two bills.

Once the two bills are merged and the bill is brought to the floor, Senate Democrats are likely to hand the reigns of managing the floor debate over the combined legislation to Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT), chairman of the Finance Committee, and Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT), who previously shepherded the bill through the HELP Committee.

Senate debate over the bill will unlimited unless cloture is invoked. Sixty votes will thus be required in order for the Democrats to proceed to a vote on healthcare reform, barring a move to pass a package through the reconciliation process -- a move President Obama signaled an openness to during a conference call with MyDD and other blogs in July. But with the Democratic caucus in the Senate boasting 60 members, today's vote by Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) in favor of reform could augur well for Democratic hopes of being able to succeed on a cloture motion to pass healthcare legislation through the entire Senate this fall...'

Let's see what comes out of THIS bill !!
There's the trick
Passing something in the Senate that can get 60 votes

I think Jojo Lieberman is muttering nonsense about opposing any bill
He needs to be TALKED TO

Nancy Pelosi will pass a STRONG Bill in the House
Let's hope the Senate can follow suit !!

This is where President Obama HAS TO GET INVOLVED !!!

YES WE CAN !!!
Who does Nancy have down for the 3rd race at Pimlico?
On the public option, Pelosi said, "We will have a public option in the House bill as I have said." She continued, "We are considering several variations, we want to have the one that does the best job."
______________________

There WILL be a public option in the final bill... my ONLY question is to whether or not it will be robust!

All the posturing and manufacted DRAMA by the MSM has been exposed for what it really was... a WHOLE lot of nothing!

This is AWESOME... I feel like we're FINALLY seeing the 'rewards' for the hard work we did to get President Obama elected and bring about the CHANGE we so desperately NEED!

Whoo Hooo.. full speed ahead on HCR!
Another Mercedes Marxist with her millions in a tax sheltered trust. Must be nice.

Nancy will never have to pay for National Health Care nor will she have to wait in a public hospital with illegal aliens waiting for rationed health care. No generic drugs for Nancy. The Politburo elite always skim the cream. Crumbs for the peons.
Hey everybody! LOOK AT ME!!
And sure, I would like to have a responsible media, but face it, we don't have that either.  But he's not a journalist, he's an ENTERTAINER.

------------------------------------------------------
Pat, I understand what you're trying to say, but the people who took us to war were folks like Clinton, Biden, Kerry et al.  Rush can talk all day long, but he didn't cast a vote in favor of it.  'Sell a war to a country'?  The only people listening to Rush were people who were probably already sold on it anyway.

DOG EAT DOG !!

Let's keep you and Feisty's personal life out of this conversation. Thanks.
HEY everybody, LOOK at ME!
Ok first let's call Nancy some names. Then, let's call Olympia a sell out commie pinko traitor. Then, let's say that they excluded us. Then we'll say it's Obama's popularity. Then we can just start the usual ranting: socialtists, acorn, terrorist lovers, taxes, taxes, deficit, racist, muslims, kenyans...Lastly, we'll threaten anyone who doesn't vote like Rush commands.
Providing young adults with the option of remaining on a parents policy until age 26 ot 27 is a great idea.  Thirty percent of the uninsured are young adults between the age of 18 and 25.  Congress needs to make sure that young adults covered under federal programs (Tricare, Federal BC) will also have this choice.
WE WON!..and will continue to WIN for the American People!

How much money will this cost us? Excuse me? How much money do we have you ask? And just give it all to you?
Nancy Pelosi - "We are right on track".

The wrong track.

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Republicans should love this. It will cover the 8-10 years their kids will spend in college.
I hope this ends up covering illegal aliens, umm, I mean undocumented workers. They so deserve it. And I sooner have them have the money then some stinking insurance worker that goes to work everyday!
Since this was denied posting in the last post maybe it will make it this time around.

ATTENTION REPUBLICANS: Stop spouting the PriceWaterHouse's results as if you know what you are talking about - and let me break it down to you, please.

EXAMPLE: The government decides it wants to tax people $4 per every single cigarette sold in the country, and they then turn to PriceWaterHouse for the estimate: Price does NOT take into consideration the very real fact that most, if not all, people will not continue smoking because of the new tax. They will project the Billions upon Billions of new tax revenue.

Now, apply this to the current HC debate, and Price's estimate do NOT include the savings expected, the waste eliminated, etc etc etc - they only calculate it as it stands now, adding the new plan. Not only is this a complete fallacy, but it only goes to show the lengths to which the Republican "leadeship" will go to deride the reforms needed.

I implore all Republicans to educate themselves, and to stop blindly following Beck, Limbaugh, Palin, and McConnell(?)

It IS possible to think for yourself.
YES WE CAN !!!

A year from now, after the election, the phase will change to:

The problem in Chicago is that the kids never get that old. So, will their parents be getting a rebate, you know, at the funeral? We could give them one of these Chicago Olympics t-shirts too.

27 years old?  You have got to be kidding me.  Here's a crazy idea-why don't we encourage our kids to be responsible and gainfully employed by age 27 so they can buy their own health insurance?

Involved where?

17% overall unemployment.
Gitmo still open.
Iraq war still rages on.
Afghan war getting worse.
Somali pirates terrorize West African seas.
Over 500 annual homicides in Chicago alone.
Foreclosures on the rise.
No energy independence.
Sporadic ethanol and E-85 nationwide distribution.
No energy rebate checks.
No Olympics for Chicago.
Saturn and Pontiac disappearing along with tens of thousands of jobs.
Cash-for-Clunkers thank you note from the Emperor of Japan (note to Barack- get it framed).
Chicago school kids beaten to death by gangs. (note to Barack, get Nobel Prize framed next Tuesday).

So many pressing issues!

And Michelle wants a new dress for Fall. Oh my, the stress of the presidency.

I guess you both are in the top 5 Percentile when it comes to financial earnings....so I it's impossible for you feel the strain the average American feels.

PB Lynn (Sent Tuesday, October 13, 2009 4:31 PM)

Actually, PB Lynn, keeping Sarah "I can see Russia from my backyard" Palin was a big accomplishment.  It might be interesting to find out how many independents were thinking about voting for John McCain until he brought her out as his VP pick.  There are even some Republicans who believe that she would cost the Republicans the election in 2012 if she were on the ticket.

I say, "Bring it on!!!!!"

EVER NOTICE REPUBLICANS LIVE IN CONSTANT FEAR. Read  their posts and these losers are afraid of their own shadow. These cowards hide behind the republican party because they accept cowards. Cowards are easily manipulated since fear is all these losers know of. Listen to Fox and the world is falling apart. Listen to the right wing hate radio DJ's and all they can do is call Obama socialist this or Nazi that. They are using fear to control the ignorant cowards that flock to the republican party. Once the republican fear machine owns you, you are in a constant state of fear or hate. That is what republican's do. They tap the weak, ignorant, and stupid as their core voter. The core republican voter is the ignorant white southern redneck. Ignorance is the key for the republicans to manipulate the souther red neck. No where is the republican party doing whats best for all americans, The republicans only care about the rich and powerful. They use poor southern white trash as their base. They know these people are the easiest to manipulate, since southerners are still filled with hate from the civil war. These losers hate everyone that is not a redneck like themselves. When I lived in North Carolina for 2 years, it was all the locals still  talked about. They are still fighting the civil war. They never got over losing to the north and would rather ruin our nation then ever extend a hand to anyone who is not an ignorant southern redneck.
Sorry, Nancy, but Sen. Snowe's vote put the nail in the coffin on a public option.
Stick to it, Nancy! A ROBUST public option too! One that will affect prices. Otherwise it's meaningless.
Good things are worth waiting for. Get it right the first time so you won't have to mess with it again.
Where are the jobs Barry? (Sent Tuesday, October 13, 2009 4:38 PM)

No energy independence?  Really, after all of 8 months??
Whats wrong with that guy>
Hmm. Lets see why don't we just let evevrybody stay on their parents' health plan forever. Then let the kids of the kids stay on their parent's plan.Yeah sounds like a plan.So if I have six kids and you have one ,do we both pay the same. Hey let's just kick up the premiums for everybody.Sure the quality of care will reach a common denominator....crummy.We will however all be equal. We will have  reached Nirvana.Lets see what will we call this wonderful thing proposed by Nacy Pelosi? I know we can call it Socialised medicine.Yeah that's the ticket.
The dollar falling into a black hole and China/Russia wants to rid of the dollar. So all our goverment is doing is getting the most they can out of puppets that won't wake up to this fact until they have nothing.Their just paying off the lobbiest and getting what they can from us until its gone.(look at the fact you'll be paying for it for 3 years BEFORE its even started).Maybe its time some of you people wake up.
