Happy Weekend!

Domenico is MSNBC going to be carrying the house vote tomorrow live or will I have to switch to CSPAN?

And a few final comments to wrap up the week!

You’re not even getting ‘warmer’ Kathy… but hey… if that brings you some much needed comfort… well then ‘go’ for it! Now that I think about it… it ALMOST as funny as the poster who thinks I’m Chuck Todd! I said..almost…

Popcorn?  Oh Wait… never mind I forgot you’re anti-popcorn now as well!  Have a nice hot cup of tea instead!

Ya know Richard I was gonna let that one pass… but you’re fibbing & frankly I’m shocked!   lol lol lol

I could give a rat’s ass as to whether you find me or anyone else around here humorous!

But I would like to remind YOU that it was you Dick who was throwing the ‘hissy’ fit around here the Friday that President Obama won the NPP about us lefties having a ‘good time & laughing!’ So save the Mr. Innocent act for your wife… she’s probably MORE than used to it by now!

Just because YOU don’t find something funny doesn’t mean that you get to piss on everyone else’s parade!

Psst… You’re not the Humor Sheriff in this town! There are MORE than enough Barney Fife’s around here already with their (1) bullet!

Oh and your snide ‘pig’ references to Pam draw me to an entirely different conclusion… think… Male Chauvinist PIG!

After dealing with you…. I’m the one that needs that SHOWER!
Great week, everyone.

Have a good weekend, see you bright eyed and bushy tailed on monday.

As opposed to our opponent who will be wild eyed and bushy browed!  I kid,...

Get some rest, FR - you earned it this week!
Nice catch there Domenico... let's hope Jack inherits those 'mitt's!

Sorry but MTP (Even with Rachel is off my Sunday line up)! I'm not going to let Gotcha ride Rachel's coat tails... let him get his OWN damn ratings!

Gotcha Gregory has GOT TO GO...
Give Larry O' his OWN show...
Sarcastic goes without saying, Richard,...

You did invent the snark meter for those not paying attention.

Have a good weekend.  Go for a walk with your dog, enjoy the fall.  I'll be raking another 20 plus bags of leaves.
Jody, Iowa (Sent Friday, November 06, 2009 10:48 AM)

Jody, you do realize, of course, that “W’s” response to any ‘stressor’ was retail therapy?  After 9/11 he said, “Go Shopping!”  The rebate checks were again a message to go ahead and buy something.  Of course, it was quite the slap to the ole’ economy when Exxon et al raised gasoline prices through the roof.  Bush gave out almost $1.5 Trillion in the final 9 months of his administration, and I assure you – none of the regular righties here were complaining.  It is only this attempt to ‘kill’ Obama with a thousand cuts a day from the ‘chattering class’ that deficit spending has become the puppet masters ‘end game’.  The “leaders” say jump, the masses say How High?

I just popped over to see how much of the Stimulus money has actually been paid out and found this little gem about South Carolina.  Apparently they are the recipient of the largest single award for the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions LLC.  Way to fight it, Sanford.  In other news, of the 787 Billion authorized, only 159 Billion has been paid out, or somewhere around 20%.  I guess many of the projects weren’t as ‘shovel’ ready as the states had promised?  Measured steps are so much better than shoot from the hip, reactionary ones.  As evidenced by my performance yesterday.

Bing Censored?

I’m curious, do you have a brother?  Ben Piston?
The AARP is the largest voting bloc in the nation, something the Republicans tried desperatley to pry away from the Dems - now they are in real in danger with these endorsements, as if they weren't before - I am not saying some won't vote against it, but it will be for show, and their won't be enough disent to matter

EXCELLENT point & I hope some of these DINO's get THAT message as well!

Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL (Sent Friday, November 06, 2009 5:33 PM)

Rock on, Feisty!! You nailed DICK!! Good job friend!!
Pam: You mean to tell me the Dog Pound is a SHE?

Not sure if Full Moon/RAZOR is a he/she; sounds more like a "he" to me though; at least that was the general consensus on Newshole!! I was always unsure; however, the majority always thought Full Moon was a he.

Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL (Sent Friday, November 06, 2009 5:51 PM)

Yes, excellent post, Dick!! And like you, Feisty, I hope the DINO's get that message, too!!
Zlara and Feisty- With a whole weekend to pop popcorn, I'd expect there to be lots of old maids.
Would you save a cupful, and share them with an old man that can't get enough of 'em, named....

Chris - IL (Sent Friday, November 06, 2009 5:43 PM)

Big business has not only enticed, but encouraged, these people to cross the borders so they can pay them whatever the heck they want to pay them!!

The have been exploited for decades; the repubs knew this; it's why Bush wanted his Immigration Bill to pass!!

The rethugs are a hypocritical bunch of scum!! And many of these "illegal immigrants," who use bogus social security numbers, are paying into Social Security knowing they will never see a dime of it!! Their money is currently paying many on Social Security today!!

The repubs do not want the illegal immigrants out of this country; they are far too profitable for their corporate buddies!!

It's a big scam!! And the simple-minded republican who votes for these idiots have yet to figure that out!!
Feisty:

Pammy Pork Chops started the pig fight. Didn't you know that? She apparently learned some Italian in journalism school.  Then, her juvenile and lame response to my "boaring" wordplay convinces me that there is no journalism degree at work here.

Maybe a student.  In a middle school somewhere. It's frightening to contemplate that there is a journalism degree behind her posts.

Try to keep up??!!

But I've made a resolution to not respond to your daughter anymore, even if she starts it.  I'm kind of ashamed for picking on a kid.

And I would never presume to be the sheriff of humor.  I defer to the Red Queen of Snark and Shallow for First Read humor quality assurance.  It assures that everyone can play.

Your post hinted of a misoverreaction, though.  I'd say I hit a nerve, but it was actually quite typical of the Feisty Redhead repetitive and boaring schtick.

Hardy har har, hardy har har, hardy har har.

Oink

Clara:

Actually, that was the tongue-in-cheek meter.  Feisty Redhead already had the patent on the snark meter.

Pam: You mean to tell me the Dog Pound is a SHE?

Feisty, I'm not sure if Full Moon/RAZOR is a he/she; sounds more like a "he" to me though; at least that was the general consensus on Newshole!! I was always unsure; however, the majority always thought Full Moon was a he.
Thanks Domenico, Mark and Chuck.  You are either unbelievably patient or unbelievably desperate.

Have a great weekened, almost everyone!
PAM

I wrote you a blog but it isn't being posted.
I'm tired and all I can say is you can and will believe what you want. I'm not RAZOR but he/she is part of the group. That moniker is new. That person has been around from the beginning.
"But I would like to remind YOU that it was you Dick who was throwing the ‘hissy’ fit around here the Friday that President Obama won the NPP about us lefties having a ‘good time & laughing!’ So save the Mr. Innocent act for your wife… she’s probably MORE than used to it by now!"

I'll have to take your word for it.  I don't archive my comments.  Maybe Pamela San Pedro, CA could re-post it for my consideration.  I'm sure she has it filed under "Dick".

Hiss.

And I'm impressed that you didn't let that one pass.  Maybe if you DID let something pass you wouldn't be so uptight.
I think that would be "malo chauvini maiale".

Or something like that.

Maybe "ale-May auvinist-chay ig-pay".
First Read, if u r going to continue putting up new threads, have the courtesy to post comments on them.
I really wish this bog would have a category of 'just rant about random shit' and let people post on it.

So many times I read your posts, and few of any of the blogs following it are even catagorically close to the subject matter.  Why post them?
For eight years the Republican Party strongly and stubbornly supported everything the Bush Administration did as it totally placated and patronized Special Interests and a select few, done with an in-your-face arrogance.  Together they irresponsibly and unconscionably encouraged the dishonesty, self-indulgence and neglect that literally contributed to bringing down most systems in this country.  The Bush Presidency unapologetically passed a gargantuan mess on to the Obama Presidency and the Republican Party then just attempted to block/obstruct, without any regard for other than their own interests, all efforts to solve problems.  Without ever contributing anything positive or constructive they now aggressively criticize the Obama Administration for not totally turning things around in just ten months.  Today everyone should be able to recognize the lies, the scare tactics and the appeals to prejudices and emotions, all intended to mislead and manipulate the majority and benefit only the few.  Anyone who accepts all of that, who supports the Republicans' efforts and the substantial overt and covert activity of their patrons, aimed to return to 'more of the same', obviously has to be certifiably crazy.  Anyone who is willing to ignore the consequences, at the very least, has to be masochistic.
When I hear all of the republicans telling everyone that we can't have programs that benefit the american people, like health care because it will add to the defict.  Well, where the hell were they for 8 years under the great spender.  Many of the same who voted against the health care bill were in congress when most of the defict occurred.  They voted for all of it.  Never voted against George Bush.  They have voted to spend over one trillion dollars for the two wars and not one mentioned of paying for them.  Its as if this money doesn't explode the national debt.  And how about the tax cuts for the wealthy?  According to them, it was the reason the economy did so well under Bush.  Well, sadly, they are still in effect doesn't seem to be helping the economy at all.  Only for the rich.  They really have no answers to any of the nation's problems except to cut more taxes for the top 1% which most of their leaders are in, so they will stay a regional party for a very long time.
